Grow IT! In Eden

The Grow IT! In Eden programme has been funded by UK Online for one year (1st April 2011, to 31st March 2012) which is from the Community Capacity Builders Grant, and will be delivered partly at Eden Rural Foyer, Penrith and partly as Outreach in your Community.
The grant has been awarded to us - to progress and develop a ‘Community Hub' for Eden – here in the centre of Penrith. The aim of the programme is to raise awareness of IT and the use of the internet – which is inclusive for everyone.
As part of the programme we will also be developing a new website – ‘Eden Communities Online', and need Digital Champions to volunteer and identified to help take this forward – they will receive training to help them do this.
We will be offering IT advice, guidance and tuition, free of charge for the full year's programme, to help raise awareness in Eden and the surrounding area.
We are looking forward to working in partnership to raise awareness and developing this programme with you and your customers, clients and representatives.
We organised a launch on: -
- Tuesday 24 May 2011 from 4pm to 5pm.
Our community IT specialist will be available to demonstrate what the programme involves.
There was some interactive taster sessions on some of the modules we will use. There was also opportunities for us to discuss how we can work together and help you achieve your aims too on: -
