At the event, we will be launching an exhibition documenting the lives of people who have fled war zones to come and live in the UK, which we will be displaying at Carlisle Library for two weeks from 6th June until the 18th of June which is when our AGM will take place at the Church of Scotland on Chapel St at 7.30pm. We will have two speakers from the British Red Cross at our AGM, Ailsa Brook and Margaret Musgrave, who will talk about the history and current activities of the organisation and we will also have an update on the Nepal Earthquake appeals that have been taking place in recent weeks. On Monday 11th May, COWC volunteers worked together with members of the Nepalese community to raise £770 for the Gurkha Welfare Trust Earthquake Appeal by collecting money in Carlisle City Centre.
