On Friday 20 May 2011, the Lord Speaker (the Lords equivalent of the Speaker of the House of Commons) is visiting Manchester to talk to voluntary and community sector groups about the work of the House of Lords.
Baroness Hayman will be arriving at Wai Yin on Swan Street, Manchester at 12.30pm this Friday. Following a brief talk on the work of Wai Yin, at approximately 1pm, the Speaker will be addressing a group of representatives from the voluntary and community sector about the work of the House of Lords and how we can engage with the Lords better. This will last about an hour.
