Cumbria got its first taste of Britain’s fastest growing wheelchair sport at the weekend.
Power chair football – a form of soccer adapted for wheelchair users – has taken off since it was brought to the UK from Japan in 2005. But the closest teams to Cumbria are in Newcastle and Bolton.
Our "Working towards Work” programme offers personalised support and is aimed at adults with a physical or mental health disability or long term health conditions and those aged over 50 seeking employment. We recognise the many barriers these client groups face daily and will work with them in groups and one to one to identify possible solutions.
The EDS is designed to support NHS commissioners and providers to deliver better outcomes for patients and communities and better working environments for staff, which are personal, fair and diverse. The EDS is all about making positive differences to healthy living and working lives.
