BME People: Equity in Accessing GP Services in Carlisle

An AWAZ Cumbria report on barriers to accessing GP service in Carlisle.  This report is the result of a small pilot community-based engagement project commissioned by Cumbria Link, to carry out a qualitative engagement with the Black and Minority Ethnic (BME) service users’ of GP surgeries in Carlisle.


Carlisle Unity Festival - 14th July 2018

AWAZ Cumbria, Carlisle One World Centre, Op Shops, Bespoke Minds and other partners are looking forward to hosting the third Carlisle Unity Festival this Saturday 14th July between 10:00 am and 4:00 pm. The opening ceremony of the Festival will be led by the Mayor of Carlisle Cllr Jessica Riddle. This is Carlisle’s main annual city centre festival with the message of Connecting Communities, Celebrating Diversity.

Carlisle's first Unity Festival will be held this Saturday, 6th August. The exiting new event adds to the City's diverse and growing community spirit, and will be happening from 10 am to 4pm in the City Centre.
