Housing Rights website updated
according to Immigration Status
The housing rights website gives up-to-date and detailed guidance on eligibility for housing and housing benefit according to immigration status. At the end of last year it was getting over 10,000 visitors each month.
The latest update to the site covers the implications of the Ruiz Zambrano case which gives new rights to the parents or carers of European children, where the parents/carers are not European citizens. New regulations for England have been issued in response and pages on the site have been updated, especially those covering EEA family members, people suffering domestic violence/abuse and people with social care needs.
The updates also cover Wales and Scotland although there are no new regulations
