Below is an important piece of news to share about the Greater Manchester BME Network project as Hakeel Qureshi, project co-ordinator for the last 4 years, leaves his position at the end of the month for a new opportunity. Please read his farewell below:
"Dear colleagues, I am writing to inform you that I shall be leaving GMCVO and the Greater Manchester BME Network at the end of this month to take up a post with Trafford Council. Having worked within the voluntary sector for over 12 years I shall be moving on to pastures new. I have really enjoyed working with you all and it been a pleasure to have supported BME and RCO groups across Greater Manchester. Over this time, I have made many friends along the way and feel privileged of having worked with such genuine hardworking people within the sector, who want to create a change. I appreciate how difficult it may be, given the present economic climate and the impact on resources this maybe having for many BME/RCO groups, but ‘please’ battle on, as there’s always a light at the end of the tunnel….. Thank you all for the support, guidance, encouragement, love and dedication you have given me during my time on Greater Manchester BME Network, even though I will miss you all within the sector, I am looking forward to this new challenge and to starting a new phase of my career. Keep up all the hard work and determination….. I’m sure that our paths will cross again"
